Vidence Data Philosophy

Vidence holds identifiable patient information private and secure. We consider protection of data not only a legal issue, but a moral issue. As we build out new products and services, patient privacy and data security remains at the center of everything we do.

Administrative, physical and technical safeguards

Our product environment must have appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of PII (Personally Identifiable Information). Being in the business of receiving, processing and storing patient information, we take intentional steps to ensure our operating environment is secure and continuously monitor / mitigate risks to this environment as existing and new threats emerge.

As data stewards, Vidence implements robust safeguards including workforce training, leveraging HIPAA-compliant technologies and data centers, role-based access controls, strong authentication, and encryption of data in transit and at rest, among a number of other controls.
